I visit mackenzie for the 5th time since leaving over 30years and it was such a sock to see the is no pride from the people living there anymore it remained me of some parts of the usa that is black populated. why do live in such filth and expect outsiders to look favorably at us and treat us with respect when we clearly can not keep our inviromnent clean and live an uplifting life, mackenzie people were a proud and dignify people and the place was the envy of the rest of the country when did we lost that pride people wake up and take a good look at your surrounding and say enough with all the nasty living and do something about it the city needs to get into the 21st century. please update this web site last info is may this is sepetember.

I'm proud of u Linden Gal
Planting, selling coals and ice is a good way to help yourself. Linden Gal if many others would be as determined as you to work for their livelihood there would be less complaints and more productivity.
Talking with the neighbour over the fence or spying on the flashy call girl behind closed curtains would be a thing of the past. Then the high prices of vegetables won't affect you since you will be self-sufficient in that regard.
Wake up Linden. Join hands improve your economy & community brick by brick.
The more energy you spend working the less u will have to complain. Further, by working you will fix some of the things that bother you.. so you will have less to complain about.

The lady Winnie
For all of those people that is asking for Winnie Wilkinson she lives in the state of Vermont. She is a wonderful person to get to know and yes is was a good looking young lady when she was working for my uncle at Guymine. I saw her while she was in Guyana this year March and she looked dam good for a woman close to 50 years. I have her home number but I will have to ask her before I can put on this website. It made my head feel big to read about what the people saying about her because she is a good person.

Condition of Linden
I agree a Government can only do so much, we got to start doing something. I do a lil planting , I sell ice, coals, and produce from my garden. I keep my yard clean and my home clean . You have to make hay while the sun shine... in other words work while you young and got the strenghth and save ... Don't try to keep up with the Jones.. the race is not for the swift. If you sit back and wait for the government you will be left behind. God help those who help themselves. I am a first class citizen and proud to call Linden my home. I support my country's leader, he is a good man. Never judge a man unless you have walked a day in his shoes.

I agree with Alisha and Trina
The government of any country can do so much and no more. The citizens pay tax and I do not condone the wanton neglect of a people by the government but there is a need for the people to co-operate for their greater good.
Dispose of rubbish properly and certainly not in the drains. Bush in the road? Self help groups can remedy this ill. You live there. Take pride in your surroundings.
Stop minding your neighbours' business ...get up find a job...the government has no jobs?..learn a skill especially the women knitting, sewing etc. Money does not grow on trees in overseas countries. You will be surprised to know how hard your loved ones work so that they can send remittances for you. Invest a part of it, don't spend ALL on town day and jamzome.
Take this advice in good stead... do something. I don't think that I am better than any of you..while I may be doing some things differently I make mistakes toooo and am subject to constructive criticism so that I can take the appropriate actions.
Make an effort to do better....Love you all my Guyanese brothers and sisters...Lets heal our country brick by brick, Washing each others hands.

Anguilla is a hive of activity as Hurricane Earl is expected to hit the island tonite. People are busy putting hurricane shelters in place, stores are filled with people buying stuff, the radio is broadcasting hurricane warning. Hope to ride it out by God's grace. Update later.

I know Winnie Wilkinson
I know her since from Linden and she always had a way with words. She and Lorraine Farley was very good friends and use to hang out a lot. Then girls was always big assish or big thing. I know she was married to some doctor and living in Dix Hills, Long Island. So, Mr. John you should try and ask people from Guyana living in Long Island. She was a good looking girl too.

Winnie Wilkinson
Anyone know a lady by the name of Winnie Wilkinson, I want to have a personal chat with her. I hear her speak at a motivational conference in New England last Sunday and she said she if from Guyana however, she does not sound like a person from Guyana. She sounds more like an English woman and her presentation was excellent, it make me think as a man who I treat women in my life. One thing that I never heard in my life was ,"Every thing has a process and if you understand the process - you will understand what life is all about." She spoke at length about the process and she kept me and almost every person in the room interested in what she was saying. Great Job Winnie and I need to talk to you personally. I see you have to pay to get on your website and I can't $100.00 now.

Miss Alisha
Miss Alisha, get off your high horse and look around. What did you see??? There are no job opportunities in Linden, its the government's responsibility to fix the roads, it's the reason why people pay taxes. The people of Linden have been forgotton by all governments. It was happening while you were living there. Did you take a stand??

Condition of Linden
I agree people need to start doing something, In every country as long as you own a home you have to keep your surroundings clean. In some places you get a ticket. Its a shame how people allow the grass to take over the place. You are responsible for you, not the Government. People throw their garbage in the drains. That will definitely cause the place to flood when it rains. If we don't start doing something to keep Linden clean, we will be a lost town in the next 20 years.

condition of the place
the people in linden have no morals, after 20 years i went back to Guyana, people just sit around minding other people's business and want to know u would be leaving for them they need to get up and form a team if the government not fixing the road they need to do it,driving in Amelia's ward is like going true an obstacle course, where the road was is now bush every body trying to build the biggest house but the road look horrible, people need to get together and do something you have to live there.

Open forum
Why are we even having this conversation. If someone put their story on the web and ask for advise, anyone can give advise. Whether the person is of good character or not, it is the advise that counts. If the advise is good then okay but if the advise is bad then thats another matter.
Who are we to say who should give advise or not on an open forum where noone uses their correct name? I have used names that I see later on others using those same names. It is a whole lot of mistaken identity. I say, once you put your story out there it is for anyone to comment.

LEGAL ADVISERS
Many of these ppl who are gavin advice to ppl on this site only looking for attention with their foolish writings, for e.g sayitnotso whosoever this is is telling someone about their character. This individual name is always on this site yet there are ready to ridicule anyone who does not agree with them and if this is the same sayitnotso that we all know please......... you are out of the question where ethics and character is concerned. u got so ashamed of everyone washing their mouths on you that now you playing holy and righteous, but everyone from our town knows you. yes you might be doing some community service but does not change who you were. We are still on the watch out for you especially with our men, cause you easy to gave away your body and your lips are full of lies and deceit. Pretend pretend, stop the whole fake game.

Guyanese need to be more thoughtful
People in Guyana need to be more caring and helpful. I read a man and his wife were in difficulties when their vehicle was submerging in water and they needed help. By standers stood there laughing instead of helping.

Guilty Conscience
Guilty conscience needs no accuser.Sayitnotso it takes one to know one especially when coming to character. U know what I am talking about. We both been there, did the same things, we walked hands in hands, partners in crime. So what.s the big deal now all playing legal adviser now when u are to mean to ppl and would have done the same thing to that pregnant woman, mean ass bitch.

To Ms. Lynda Stephens
Ms. Stephens, I don't think you should judge me in this way. Those words you describe me is truly unreasonable for someone of your character, why do you think of me being a dangerous person? and for what reason? Knowing you so well I don't think you really have the correct person in thoughts. Thankfully think again before you leap.

Hi Miss Lynda
The person you are criticizing is doing a great job. That person is a sound thinking individual. They are not in everybody's business. If anyone put their business here or on any site, then it becomes everyone's business. Nothing wrong with that in a democratic world. If anyone makes a comment it keeps the site moving. We can always learn from other people's comment. We should always be constructive in our criticism and not destructive.
