Hi! Welcome to Guymine.com! I'm Whiddon Sibdhannie Jr. (you can call me Junior), and I'm the owner of Guymine.com. I lived in Linden, Guyana for over a decade before immigrating to the United States.

In early 2002 I decided to create a website where Lindeners and Guyanese could find high quality news, original photos and useful information relating to Linden, Guyana. My goal is to make Linden, Guyana first in your hearts, minds and wallet. This privately funded website has managed over the years to encourage many overseas based Guyanese and foreigners to visit the town, through the showcasing of the best of Linden, Guyana on the world wide web.
Guymine.com is a small, tight-knit operation. My cousin Sherwin Goodluck who lives in Linden takes the local photos, puts together the events and networks with officials and personalities to get you the inside scoop. He then transmits the info to me (right in above photo) via email.

I do the website updating, editing and publishing , put together the news stories and cover any overseas events by Lindeners. On special occasions when I travel to Linden, I also do the photography. We both have fulltime jobs aside from the website. ( I am the co-owner and General Manager of a New Jersey auto dealership and my cousin is a trained High School teacher in Linden). So when time is not on our side we turn to our close friends for help.

Dexter Joseph (left in above photo) is my schooldays best friend from the Mackenzie High School. He lives in Blue Berry Hill where he runs The Windex Internet and Education Centre . He assists Guymine.com with the running of my Pam Porter Scholarship Fund (named after my late mom, a Silvertown, Wismar resident). He also coordinates any events that are NOT entertainment related (You see he is also an Evangelist for the Church of Christ) So far he has successfully organized several of our scholarship luncheons, dinners and award ceremonies as well as our Children's Christmas Party.

James Craig, is a friend of my cousin and lives in Retrieve, Linden. He does photography and news gathering on a part-time basis for Guymine.com. He credits his involvement with Guymine.com to his "passionate interest in the development of his hometown".

Guymine.com is also heavily involved in charitable distributions and promotional sponsorship in Linden. In 2003 we set up the Pam Porter Scholarship Fund in order to assist disadvantaged and/or talented students with financial and tutorial assistance. Through this fund we donate up to a million Guyana dollars every year in financial assistance as well as computers, organizers and other educational aids. We have also sponsored educational quizzes on NCN television, Children's Christmas parties, L.A.B.A Basketball, the inaugural women's soccer tournament recently held in Linden, the annual Kashif and Shanghai Christmas Soccer tournament, Linden Flood Relief Task Force assistance, as well as numerous donations to schools, organizations and deserving individuals.
