C.R.H. and SON is a subsidary of Holland
Entertainment which is owned by young
boxing promoter, businessman and
television personality Mr Carwin Holland.
This innovative professional is one of a
handful of young entrepreneurs in Linden who are continuing to show their loyalty and confidence in the town's economic potential by opening businesses.
Mr. Holland started out humbly as a sports reporter on NCN a few years ago, but soon realized that his abilities were beyond just being a reporter. He then moved on and made a name for himself as a boxing promoter in Guyana, presenting a number of international bouts. At one time he was even close to bringing a world title fight to Guyana in Lila Ali v/s Gwendalyn O'Neal , unfortunately that fell through.
However, Holland subsequently placed lots of his efforts and resources into other business lines. He tried everything: trading, television production, construction, etc. The amazing thing, he states, is that he was successful at all of them. He claims to warrant his success to his family especially his wife.
As a result of his loyalty to his home town he has decided to move a branch of his business to Linden, moreso, he has moved his entire family to dwell in the
mining town.
C.R.H. and SON is located in Celebrity Ave (Barbershop Row), Mackenzie, Linden. This conglomerate consists of a boutique, electronic store, construction company, cell phone shop travel agency, western union agency, bill express service, video production company all under one roof. The business will also feature the only 24 hour C-Point shop in Linden.
Mr Holland is very optimistic that his business will be successful in the mining town since he strongly believes that there is a demand for his products and
services.

Linden Police Station:
When was the last time any of you visited the Linden Police Station. All I can say is wow. The furniture, such as desks and chairs looks like it was there for the last 20 yrs. The station is undermanned. Incident reports are hand written and manually placed in files that can be lost or misplaced(HA), no computers. When rain falls, you cannot go up the steps, or you will definately get soak. The Guyana Govt has forsaken Linden in every way. Criminals are having a feast on foreigners whenever they go home on vacation, I happened to be one of those recepiant. Many mothers and fathers, bad woman and bad men have bred thieves and illetrates. They sleep in the day and prowl at night. What can the Police do about this? The answer is not much.We have to take back Linden Town. I was born and grew up in Linden. It is sad. |

Fellow Lindeners'
I post this short comment to inform of my great disspointment over the break n enter of C.R.H&Sons Monday morning.
The losses amount to over 3 million in dollars, but greater to the community of Linden as persons employed will now be unemployed, those who benefits from the store will have to look elsewhere, (at least in the interim). C.R.H&Sons has been of great help to the linden community; Looking after the roads and pathways in my birthplace wismar, Assisting the senior citizens, Sponsoring the Wismar Pistons and many other basketball teams/players/tournaments, Sponsoring Bodybuilder Lindie Sharpe, the children ward at the Mackenzie Hospital, the Nurses training school, Mackenzie high School, the Christian Churches and many unemployed and needy persons in the community...
I am deeply shocked at what happened, but i only see it as a test of my faith in god...
I condemn the actions which i strongly feel is known to many, and urge anyone with information to come foward.
The cause of such ill in Linden can only be blamed on the state of the community which i strongly feel is as a result of old time politics and selfishness...
The community leaders are only fighting among themselves and supressing one another, untimately hurting the youth who are mostly unemployed. Drug abuse, prostitution, teenage pregnancy and poverty are clouding Linden... In order to ease these problems, we need to get persons gainfully employed... My call is now on the leaders to make a special effort to get our youth employed... Especially the REO, please stop outsourcing jobs that lindeners can undertake...
I intend to double my efforts in Linden to help the community, and call upon influentials such as Kashif & Shanghai, The Barrows, The Frontline Crew and all business person in the community to joing me in steering our youth in the right direction... Please note that many of the criminals killed or linked in the Buxton saga are reportedly from Linden, or resided at Linden for some time and have links here... Do we want linden to follow the trend in Buxton? NO! Can we continue with our youth committing suicide? NO! Can we afford to discourage business and entrepreneurship in Linden? No!
I can go on and on, but will simply end my writing by asking all to pray for Linden, The Crime and the troubling incidents at the New Silvercity Secondary School are only signs of the times... We need to lift ourselves up spiritually and morally...
