| Ituni Day Celebrations |

Some 36 miles from Linden along the road to Kwakwani lies a sleepy little village known as Ituni.
This community shares a history rooted in bauxite productions in years past, but has transitioned into a community with logging as its major economic interest.
Our camera was on hand to capture a small celebration organised for the weekend of Guyan's 47th Independence Anniversary celebrations, as well as to capture some of the sights and persons that make this village unique |

| Mothers Day at the Praise Tabernacle AOG Church |

The entire congregation pitched in to celebrate mothers on this Sunday, with all of the various church departments providing cultural items for the occasion. All of the mothers at church received tokens of appreciation, but it was perhaps the variety and creativity of the cultural presentations that were the highlight of the day.

| It was the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School's turn to cater to its old students during town week, which they did in the form of a dinner on Thursday last. The formal dress affair brought together the school's alumni for a night of socialising and fun which the rain threatened to, but did not dampen. |

| MHS Jungle Fever Old Students' Party definitely lived up to its billing, with DJs Rawle and Akelo Elliott raising the hype to a fever pitch reminiscent of the school parties of old. Judging from the turnout, the excitement and the mad party vibes evident there, this party is going to be a staple on the Linden Town Week Calendar for years to come |

| In the rain, Linden Town Week 2013 opening ceremony was held under the theme “Coming Clean in 2013” on Sunday 28th April at the Linden /Georgetown mini bus park, the stage and surrounding area were well decorated. The Opening was graced by the Prime Minister Mr. Samuel Hinds, Opposition Leader David Granger, Georgetown City Mayor, along with the Regional dignitaries and representative of different businesses and organizations. |

| The Linden Dream Team presented their second annual Rising Stars award ceremony today Tuesday 30th April 2013 at the Edward Benjamin Conference Hall. Parents and students from the various Secondary schools were present along with the Regional Chairman, the Town Clerk , Councilor of the M&TC Winston Smith, Major Eon Murray, DEO Miss. Jennifer Bourne, Pastor Selwyn Sills among others. |
